“Management” is very rude, disrespectful, and extremely unprofessional. I wish I could remember the name of some “manager” when my family was visiting the club from NYC. We had visited the club a couple times for $10 per day. My sister who is a general manager for Equinox health club in Manhattan came in to use the sauna. This woman was so unprofessional in addressing the issues she was having wanting to charge her $15 on this day not at all considering we’ve been using the gym for days after checking in for $10 per day. It wasn’t the cost her ATTITUDE and confrontational behavior for a “Manager” was very unfitting in this moment. Totally uncalled for. We had experienced great customer service from the other staff members who took our ID’s and went through the process. It was clear this “manager” definitely on a power trip which was not warranted. You have got to do better.

Been going to this gym for about 4 months now. I signed up originally a year ago and never went but was stuck in a year long contract, which I was pretty upset about. I signed up online and was never under the impression that there was any contract, all other gyms I had been too were month to month, hence the 4 stars. However, since I’ve been going I can say that the facility is always kept very clean. It’s quite expensive but the amenities, in my opinion, make the price very reasonable. I love the women’s only section, tanning/massage, and the cinema. The people working are always very friendly as well.

I want to love this gym, I really do. And if all you want to know is if it is better than surrounding Club Fitnesses, it is. But Edge has a significant issue that has bugged me since I joined in May, and odds are it will affect you too at some point.Let me start with the good. The amenities are impressive. I really like how spacious and logically arranged the main gym floor is. There is a wide variety of equipment, including items often missing from Club Fitness, specifically the seated barbell shoulder press and seated preacher curls. Their Matrix treadmills are so cool, I may purchase one myself for home use. They also have not one but two (!) seated chest fly stations that are very popular, especially on Monday Chest Days. While it gets crowded during rush hour, I rarely find myself needing to wait for anything. People are respectful to each other, and most everyone I've seen wipes down the equipment as they are supposed to. The added perk of frequent free preworkout shots is very generous.The men's locker room is the largest and most well kept I've ever seen. The sauna always seems to be on, working, and the hottest I've experienced. While I have not used the Cardio Cinema, I'm impressed by how many brand new movies they advertise showing. Good choices, corporate!Despite all this, however, the biggest thing holding this gym back, and the biggest problem for me, is the length of time it takes to replace broken equipment. Machines will sit broken with signs on them for weeks, if not months. I've sent occasional emails reporting additional problems (as directed on the equipment itself) and asking the status of repairs, but they have been largely unresponsive. And unfortunately, the list of broken or unsafe items only appears to be growing as everything ages and shows more wear. Sharp edges on bench seats or arm pads can cut or injure bare skin. For several weeks, I had to place a towel over the preacher curling station to avoid cutting myself. These should not be the "edges" for which The Edge is known.I don't presume to know what all is involved with equipment replacement or repair, but I just don't see why it takes so long. Club Fitness was not perfect either, but I never felt their response time to be this noticeable and unreasonable. If you guys can turn this around, you will truly be the best gym in the St. Louis area, and I'll adjust my review as such.

Do not go here. This is your warning.This gym will sign you up on a contract and make it sound as if you can cancel the g n get you want. You can't. They use a 3rd party company to handle financials, and what this 3rd party does is send you to many other processes in order to cancel your membership. I called the club to cancel and they told me to call the financial company. I called the financial company and after 35 minutes of talking to the guy, they told me I just need to email a specific email with my agreement ID. Before finally acknowledging my request to cancel. In the meantime, part of their cancellation policy is to continue charging you for any upcoming charges they decide.They just start charging you extra stuff anytime they feel like it and call them. Things like enhancement fees. Nothing is actually going to transpire within the club to make the experience enhanced, but they will sure charge you anytime they want to with hidden fees, which happened more often than just your regular gym payment. This company is predatory and makes it almost impossible to cancel your membership, because they want you to say it's not worth the frustration and just keep paying them money.The edge fitness is effectively a scam and unless you plan on being a gym member for the rest of your life as well as accepting that your $20 a month fee is actually going to end up being more like 30 to $40 a month. Given the random fees they will chuck in there, then. This is just a scam and you shouldn't go here.

Place has gone downhill. Equipment is frequently out of service and the counter people just say "we will tell the manager", after reporting on my phone app and to the counter about a cable machine, stair climbers, bikes, not to mention the water fountain that was broke for months.Believe the stories about having to deal with a third party billing company, and when you sign your agreement you DO NOT see the agreement, they just have you sign a pad with your signature. Worry not person who reads this from Edge, I know you will reply that this information is up front and on your website. I just say who are you going to believe, a local customer and all the other reviews on here or an Edge employee probably from the east coast. I moved away from St. Charles to the northwest of Ofallon, google has to tell them that I moved 15 or more miles away. Google says 14 miles, silly me I should have read the agreement. I look at the other reviews about trying to cancel the membership, I can't wait for that struggle at the end of the contract.Finally, if you enjoy waiting for equipment to be repaired, waiting on equipment when 2 other people are waiting on the same - If you enjoy frequently broken equipment - If you enjoy dirty lockers that have pubic hair in them all the time - If you enjoy dirt on the locker room floor, broken toilet seats, broken locker room sinks - If you enjoy front counter staff on their phone all the time - If you enjoy all these things then this place is for you.Queue the Edge reply to email edge cares.
