Guide for My Time at Portia (2024)

Story Walkthrough Page 2

This is the second half of the story walkthrough, here are a few things you should take into consideration:

  1. This page has the Main Missions you need to complete, along with some other Secondary Missions that I found triggered along the way.
  2. Not every secondary mission is listed here.
  3. There are a couple of missions listed here that may not trigger until later/earlier than listed here.
  4. If you start any mission, look to see if it has a time limit. If it does, prioritise it over any that do not have time limits. Failing missions will affect your relationships with people.
  5. Spoiler tags have been used just to help manage the amount of information.

Side Information

By this point, you need to have crafted the Electric Furnace. If you have the time to, craft yourself the Comprehensive Grinder and Comprehensive Cutter too.

This was my set up by this point in the game:

  • Level 3 Worktable + all Artisan skill
  • Level 2 Worktable
  • 3 x Industrial Furnace
  • 2 x Civil Furnace (I donated the Stone Furnace to the Museum to get rid of it)
  • 1 x Electric Furnace
  • 2 x Grinder
  • 1 x Comprehensive Grinder
  • 2 x Industrial Cutter
  • 1 x Comprehensive Cutter
  • 1 x Blender
  • 1 x Basic Skiver
  • 1 x Advanced Skiver

In addition, I also had a Cooking Set, a Drying Rack, and had built the Stable and bought the best horse from McDonald's stable. As I had no time limit missions to worry about, I also went about making sure I was completing all the Commissions and secondary missions I could.

I had been able to turn in enough Data Discs with Petra to have obtained all of the blueprints available from her.

I was also in a good spot with the relationships with the recommended NPCs. A lot of my money was coming from quarrying, then crafting Stone Stools to sell. I was selling to both Total Tools and Best Brothers.

I kept around 200 Data Discs in my inventory, and sold the rest. On good days, this was netting me a decent bit of income. Any relic pieces were being sold, as I really couldn't be bothered with the Museum.

As for tools, I had upgraded my Pickaxe to the Fisherman's Pickaxe, and the Axe to Fisherman's Axe. My Sword had been upgraded to an Enhanced Iron Sword as well. I'd also crafted the Classic Fishing Rod, and had invested in the Fish Encyclopedia skill. Most fish I was catching were being sold.

I had also upgraded the House to Level 2, as I was preparing for the missions with Phyllis and then with Gust. (A Level 2 house is needed to propose marriage/get married.)

She'll ask for 5 Data Discs, so hand them over to continue with the mission. The next day she'll send you a letter, mentioning that Phyllis may be able to help.

Go and speak to Phyllis, who will tell you that Nora would be a better person to talk to. When you speak to her, you'll have a conversation choice, and you can pick whichever one you want. Once that conversation is done, the next day Petra will send you the Wind Turbine diagram. You need to build and install three of them.

To build one Wind Turbine, you'll need:

  • 5 x Iron Wooden Plank
  • 5 x Steel Shell

Dana's Mining Company

This is a secondary mission that triggers after completing all of the South Block missions. You won't be able to complete this mission until you have access to the Western Plateau, or by purchasing a Large Planter Box and a Zeolora Tree Seed from the Church of Light and planting it. This is because you need Zeolite, which can be mined from Igneous Rock in the Western Plateau, or harvested from a Zelora Tree. Zeolora Trees take 18 days to grow, and 8 days to harves. The base yield is 23-25 Zeolite, but if you keep the tree fertilized, you can get 46-50 Zeolite. Enough to craft Concrete for this mission.

Dana will show up at your Workshop, asking about whether she should start an Ore delivery company. When you have the conversation choice, pick "Yes, yes! I want ore delivery!" #

You'll then have to wait for a letter from here, which will contain three blueprints, one for an Aluminum Alloy Frame, one for an Conveyor Belt and one for a Transmission.

You'll need to craft:

  • 2 x Aluminum Alloy Frame
  • 1 x Conveyor Belt
  • 1 x Transmission

First is to craft the Aluminum Alloy Frames. One requires:

  • 5 x Concrete
You craft this in the Blender from 15 x Soil, 3 x Resin and 2 x Zeolite.
  • 8 x Iron Wooden Plank
  • 5 x Aluminum Plate
  • 6 x Hard Aluminum

Once you've placed the two Aluminum Alloy Frames, you need to craft the other two items.

For the Conveyor Belt, you'll need:

  • 5 x Steel Frame
  • 9 x Bearing
  • 6 x Rubber Belt
Crafted on the Level 3 Worktable. One Belt requires 3 x Rubber Fruit, 2 x Quality Leather and 2 x Sulfate. The Quality Leather is crafted from 2 x Delicate Fur, 1 x Tree Sap and 1 x Pigments on a Skiver. Sulfate can be mined from the large orange rocks in the Eufaula Desert.
  • 6 x Steel Cable

For the Transmission, you'll need:

  • 2 x Advanced Engine
  • 5 x Steel Shell
  • 4 x Hard Aluminum
  • 2 x Hoister

Once you've placed all of the items, Dana will say thank you and the mission will end.

  • 1 x Industrial Engine
  • 2 x Small Silicon Chip

And then craft the Lift with:

  • 1 x Lift Controls
  • 40 x Hardwood Plank

  • Enter the Ruins
  • Find the locked door
  • Install the Advanced Engines
  • Find the Switch
  • Defeat the Boss and leave

Time Limit

  • None

Rewards

  • 5000 Exp
  • 10000 Gols
  • 1 x Traveler's Shorts

Mali will go exploring the Western Plateau after you've installed the lift. You'll then receive a letter in the mail asking for you to give her 2 Advanced Engines. If you don't have them, purchase them from the Research Center. Head over to her with a few health and stamina items in your inventory (along with your weapon!). You'll then need to enter the Ruins to install the engines.

Inside the Ruin, you'll need to make your way past some enemies until you get to a locked door. Install the engines, and then you'll need to find the switch to open the door. The switch is just down the doorway from the locked door. Flip the switch and then head into the locked room. In this room, you'll find a Locator Computer that Mali will pick up.

This will activate several traps, and some of the ruins will be blocked off. The only exit is through the hallway of moving spiked walls and flamethrowers. The exit is also blocked, forcing you into the opposite room to fight the box, Piggy-Bot 002. This boss isn't hard to kill, and drops a fair few items. Of them, sell the Compressor and Carbon Fiber, as you don't need them to complete the game.

With the boss defeated, another switch will become useable, and this will turn off all of the traps, allowing you to leave the ruins. The mission will be completed upon leaving.

Building Portia Harbor Subplot

While considered a Subplot, these missions need to be completed. They'll be triggered upon meeting Musa at a Fireside Meeting.

The Portia Harbor

Mission Details

  • Complete the Commissions

Time Limit

  • 28 days per commission

Rewards

  • 2000 Exp, 2000 Gols, 80 Workshop Reputation per commission

Albert will inform you via letter that he will be posting commissions for the Portia Harbor. It is entirely possible to complete all five, however I was only able to complete four, as Higgins took one. So you don't need to complete all of them to complete the mission.

The commissions are:

10 x Waterproof Cloth which requires:

  • 10 x Fiber Cloth
  • 1 x Honeybee Wax
  • 2 x Mucus

It's made on the Basic Skiver/Advanced Skiver

10 x Concrete, which requires:

  • 15 x Soil
  • 3 x Resin
  • 2 x Zeolite (now you'll be able to get to the Western Plateau, you can mine this from there)

It's made in the Blender.

And 2 commissions for 10 x Igneous Brick, which requires:

  • 5 x Igneous Rock

It's crafted on the Industrial Cutter. Igneous Rock is mined from the orange rock in the Western Plateau - the same rock Zeolite comes from.

Once you've handed these in (I handed in 4 in the end) the mission will end.

Then wait for her to mail you with the unfortunate response that there isn't a way to craft an AC Unit. Instead, you're going to have to go back into WOW Industries (in Bassanio Heights) to find an AC Unit.

You'll have to fight your way through to the final room, where if you look to the left, you'll find a wall giving off steam. Interact with this wall to find a hidden door, and inside will be the AC Unit. Take this to Albert, and then a few days later the Harbor will be completed, unlocking

Once they've argued on the Plaza, Merlin and Lee go to Gale's office, and you'll need to follow them. A day after the argument, Nora will ask you if you could help resolve this argument by speaking to Sam. Speaking to Sam will end with her telling you to search around the Research Center for clues.

What you want to do is to follow the path to the side of the Portia Museum, and around to the back of the Research Center. On the floor will be Tuss's hat. (The last time you would've seen these two is when you did the Debt Collectors missions.) You'll then need to head over to the north-east side of WOW Industries and meet Sam here. You both then go into Bassanio Cave. You'll need to fight some Tunnel Worms, and then outrun a boulder as you make your way to Huss and Tuss. You'll come to an open area with these two staring at the Locator Computer.

You'll then need to fight the pair of them, which really isn't a hard fight. And once you've defeated them, collect the Locator Computer and return it to Merlin. Then go and speak to Nora to complete the mission.

Mali will come to your house the day after you complete A Boat to Starlight, and she'll invite you to go to Starlight Island. Accept the invite and then meet her at Portia Harbor. Head into the Ruins there, and the enemies you'll face in here are Madcrabs, Sentidog T-45 and Sentidog T-52. The last two enemies drop some good materials, including some Copper Wire. You'll need 3 x Copper Wire to use the door controls on the second floor.

Once you've fixed the door, keep making your way up until you come across a broken lift. Another item that should have been dropped by enemies are Advanced Engines, and one is needed to fix the lift. Then use the lift to keep exploring. Eventually you'll come to two Marching Pigs that you'll need to defeat. With Mali, they won't be hard to kill, as she's quite powerful.

Once you've defeated them, a door will open, and Mali will find the passcode key. With that done, leave the Ruin and make your way back to Portia Harbor, ending the mission.

The Perfect Trap

Mission Details

Part 1

  • Ask Ack
  • Construct All Source Model

Part 2

  • Construct Trap Device
  • Head for the Ruins
  • Meet with Arlo
  • Install the trap
  • Defeat the Rogue Knight

Time Limit

  • None

Rewards

  • Part 1 - 1000 Exp, 5000 Gols, 40 Workshop Reputation

Mali will invite you to a meeting with the Mayor, which takes place in Gale's office. After a conversation, you'll need to speak with Ack, who will give you a blueprint for an All Source Model.

To build this model, you'll need:

  • 5 x Steel Shell
  • 4 x Hard Aluminum
  • 2 x topaz
  • 2 x Porcelain Plate
Purchase these from the shop outside the Round Table.

With the All Source Model built, report to Arlo. This will initiate the second part of this mission, which is to craft a Trap Device. Arlo will give you the recipe book for this, so ensure you "Use" the book to learn the recipe. The Trap Device is crafted on the Worktable from:

  • 5 x Steel Frame
  • 4 x Hard Aluminum

Then head to the Ruins on the Western Plateau and install the trap. This will start a cutscene, introducing you to the Rogue Knight. You'll have to fight him, but he's level 100. You only need to get him down to 50% health before the fight ends. Everyone then flees to tell Gale what happened.

Mali will leave Portia, and you'll get a letter from your Pa (father).

Unlocking Somber Marsh

Road to the Marsh

You are going to need to have built a Factory by this point in the game, as you will not be able to proceed until you have. It's worth placing all of the crafting stations you can in the Factory now, and then putting all of the Power Stones/Condensed Stones you have into the Factory if you only intended to complete the things that are necessary for achievements. I put all of the Power Stones I had into my Factory, and ended up with 365 days of power.

My factory had:

  • 3 x Industrial Furnace
  • 2 x Civil Furnace
  • 1 x Electric Furnace
  • 2 x Grinder
  • 1 x Comprehensive Grinder
  • 2 x Industrial Cutter
  • 1 x Comprehensive Cutter
  • 1 x Blender
  • 1 x Basic Skiver
  • 1 x Advanced Skiver

I then went to the Research Center, and bought 55 Research Notes to fully optimize the Factory. There wasn't a need to upgrade it. You will be able to craft nearly all of the items you need at the same time, just make sure that all the materials you need to craft stuff has been placed in the Material Storage.

Mission Details

  • Build one of the pathways - either the Western Route or the Eastern Route
  • Talk with Ursula
  • Get compensation from Gale

Time Limit

  • None

Rewards

  • Western Route - 10000 Exp, 15000 Gols, 150 Workshop Reputation
  • Eastern Route - 10000 Exp, 5000 Gols, 50 Workshop Reputation
  • Adventurer's Jacker and Adventurer's Pants

This mission starts after the Council Guards arrive in Portia. Sam will relay a message to you from Gale, and you have to attend a meeting at the Town Hall. Go to the Town Hall, where you will meet Ursula. A day after the conversation, Ursula will send you a letter asking you to go and see her. You'll find her at the Research Center. She'll say that you need to craft a route to get to the Somber Marsh. There's two routes for you to take - The Western Route (which is more complex, but yields better rewards) and The Eastern Route (easier, but less rewards).

In order to complete the Western Route, you must have completed the Portia Tree Farm storyline. If you haven't, you will not be able to proceed.

I personally went for the Western Route for the rewards, but it is entirely up to you.

If you do pick the Western Route, you'll need to craft:

1 x Advanced Control Unit:

  • 1 x AI Chipset
Purchse these from the Harbor Trade Station for 3 x Silicon Chipsets. These can be purchased from the Research Center.
  • 2 x Control Panel
  • 5 x Aluminum Plate
  • 5 x Steel Plate

1 x Composite Steel Beam:

  • 1 x Steel Beam
Craft this first on the Assembly Station
  • 6 x Aluminum Plate
  • 4 x Advanced Composite Board
This can only be made in the Factory. One board requires 5 x Hardwood, 1 x Ironwood and 1 x Purple Resin. If you need Purple Resin, cut down trees in the Eufaula Desert.

1 x High Power Lift Machine:

  • 2 x Military Engine
You get these by trading Advanced Engines at the Harbor Trade Station
  • 8 x Steel Shell
  • 4 x Bearing
  • 6 x Manganese Steel Bar

2 x Iron Wood Support:

  • 5 x Iron Wooden Plank
  • 2 x Steel Fram
  • 2 x Wooden Pillar

You install of these on the far side of the Tree Farm. There will be indicators of where to place them.

If you pick the Eastern Route, you'll need to craft 1 x Metal Ramp, which requires:

  • 6 x Steel Frame
  • 5 x Aluminum Plate
  • 4 x Advanced Composite Boards

This is installed in the Collapsed Wasteland.

Once you've placed the items you needed to craft, speak to Ursula. Whichever route you didn't choose, Higgins will build. Ursula will also ask you to go and look at the area where the First Key has been found. Accept it to initiate that mission.

To get your reward for this mission, you'll need to speak to Gale.

The First Key

It'll be worth keeping a stash of health and stamina supplies in your inventory. It's worth taking the time to cook some of the food mentioned on the Cooking page, and to purchase items from Dr. Xu.

  • 4 x Copper Coil
  • 4 x Aluminum Wires

With it crafted, return to the Ruins and install it. Then activate the door and continue exploring the mines. You'll eventually come to the boss you'll need to defeat, called Piggy-Bot 032. Once you've defeated it, activate the switch. You'll then leave the Ruins. Find and speak with Ursula to complete this mission.

Ursula and the Civil Corps will be outside the ruin waiting for you. When your ready head inside. The group will split up, and you'll be teamed up with Ursula and Arlo. Pick whichever route you like.

You'll come to a point where you'll need to repair a gate, luckily no materials are needed to do so. So repair the gate and continue on. You'll come to the end of the Ruin, where you'll need to fight the boss Bleeding Heart 044. Once you've defeated the boss, you'll leave the Ruin, completing the mission.

The Exhaust Fan

Ursula will be outside your house the morning after completing the last mission. She'll say that they've found the third key, but that you need to craft an Exhaust Fan for everyone to get to it. Doesn't matter how you respond in the conversation choices, you have to craft the Exhaust Fan. Ursula will give you the blueprint. To craft the Exhaust Fan, you'll need:

  • 8 x Steel Shell
  • 15 x Hard Aluminum
  • 1 x Military Engine
  • 1 x Windwheel

Take the Exhaust Fan and place it in the designated location in the Somber Marsh. You'll need to use the route in the Tree Farm to get there. Once you've installed it, speak to Ursula sand she'll tell you that you'll need to wait a couple of days before you can enter the Ruins.

The Third Key

Mission Details

  • Head for the Entrance
  • Explore the Ruin
  • Repair the door
  • Keep exploring
  • Repair the Control Unit
  • Defeat the AI Piggy-Bot 042

Time Limit

  • None

Rewards

  • 6000 Exp
  • 2000 Gols

Ursula will send you a letter saying that it's time to explore the third Ruin. When you're ready head over and enter the Ruins. Kill enemies and eventually you'll come to a broken door. It requires 3 x Copper Wires to fix, and you should've easily picked these up from the enemies you've killed. After you've fixed the door, keep going, killing enemies along the way. You'll end up in the Bridge Room, where you'll need to repair the Control Unit with 1 x Silicon Chipset. Again, you should have picked at least one of these up from an enemy.

Keep exploring the Ruins until you get to the final room. You'll have to defeat the boss Piggy-Bot 042. Once you've done that, you'll exit the Ruins, and the entrance to the final Ruin on Somber Island will be revealed.

Now you wait for the final act in the game.

Discovering the All Source AI

This is the last section of the game, and these four missions pretty much happen one after the other. Before you start The All Source AI, you could sell everything you no longer need (it'll probably take a few days) to rack up a decent amount of Gols. You could then go about mopping up any remaining achievements you have. My personal experience was that I only had Gust's romance missions outstanding. Achievement wise, I had the following outstanding:

  • Romantic Proposal
  • Married!
  • Heartbreak!
  • Real Estate Tycoon

For the Real Estate Tycoon achievement, I managed to get enough money by selling all of my remaining Data Discs and materials I didn't need. My relationship with Gale was Good Friend, so I had a 25 % discount on the final purchase, meaning I only needed 187500 Gols to purchase it. Once the achievement had unlocked, I reloaded the day.

For Gust's relationship, I had gifted him enough times throughout the game to get our Friendship to Best Friend. Giving him the Heart Knot sent our relationship to Soulmate. This in turn managed to kick off the final romance mission, Commission of Happiness, while skipping the rest. All I needed to do was complete that mission, and then we were married the next day. Luckily it had timed itself so the date was Day 28, Month 2, Year 2, and I could purchase the Broken Mirror from the Mysterious Man to get the divorce achievement.

And before heading into this portion of the game, my equipment and inventory setup was the following:

  • Nova Sword (purchased from Total Tools after completing Rescue in Ingall's Mine)
  • Military Cap (obtained from the Mission Adventures with Mali)
  • Adventurer's Jacket (obtained from the Mission Road to the Marsh)
  • Adventurer's Pants (obtained from the Mission Road to the Marsh)
  • Small Satchel, which I had crafted on the Worktable (it was a leftover from gifting them to Sam, Remington and Arlo). It gives you +50 Max HP.
  • Jewelry Box, which I crafted on the Worktable. It gives you +15 Max Stamina.
  • Yellow Sapphire Necklace. I had spoken to Ginger enough times to become a Buddy with her and she gave me the recipe for this. It gives you a +11 Attack.
  • 15 x Spiced Steak Meals. I made these with the Cooking Set. The Cooking page gives you the recipe for this. These restore 60 Stamina.
  • 25 x Dried Apple Slice. I had two Drying Racks constantly churning out Dried Apple Slices. They restore 10% Max Stamina.
  • 3 x First Aid Kits that I had picked up as loot from Sentinels in the previous missions. They restore 300 HP.
  • 5 x Bamboo Incense that I purchased from Dr. Xu's clinic. Restores 300HP
  • 2 x Dried Blade Fish that I had for quite a while in the game. Restores 160 HP.
  • 5 x Herbal Mixture that Dr. Xu had gifted me. Restores 60 HP.
  • 40 x Royal Honey. I'd collected this mainly from the Tree Farm's resource deliveries. Restores 15 HP and 10 Stamina.
  • 100 x Snake Berry. I's somehow gathered a lot of these while looking for Caterpillars in the early game. Restores 10 HP.

While this seems overkill, by the final mission, I'd used pretty much everything except for the Snake Berries and 20 x Royal Honey.

Either way, stocking up on Health and Stamina items are very important here.

The All Source AI

Don't worry about restoring health and stamina in this mission. You'll be able to do that from a medkit at the start of the next mission.

Mission Details

  • Meet up
  • Defeat the Sky Sharks

Time Limit

  • None

Rewards

  • 6000 Exp
  • 1500 Gols

Upon leaving your house, Sam will be waiting to give you the information on the final mission. So head over to the marked location. Ursula and the Civil Corps will be waiting, and the location is the All Source Tower. After a conversation, it'll turn out that the three people you've been working with are no who they've said they are. They are in fact a gang called the Sky Sharks.

With Arlo, Remington, Sam and Higgins, you'll be fighting these three. Once you've defeated them, the Rogue Knight will appear. This ends with the group being tied up. Fortunately for you, our new friends Huss and Tuss appear to save you all. This completes this mission, and the next one immediately starts.

Towards All Source

Mission Details

  • Enter the Ruins
  • Find a way in
  • Move ahead

Time Limit

  • None

Rewards

  • 6000 Exp
  • 1500 Exp

This mission started with Arlo, Sam and Remington waiting at the entrance to the Ruins for you to join them. Enter the Ruins, and you'll find a medkit you can use to restore your health and stamina. You'll come to a locked door, and Arlo will say there's a small opening they can use. Go over to it and interact with it to ceate a path for you. Keeping heading into the ruins, defeating enemies and eventually you'll come to a fork in the road.

You can either head right or left. The path you take will determine the fight you partake in in the next mission (right for Ursula, left for Ryder). Choosing the path ends this mission.

The Sharks in the Sky

Mission Details

  • Move ahead
  • Fight Ursula or Ryder
  • Mover ahead

Time Limit

  • None

  • 6000 Exp
  • 2000 Gols

You'll be paired off to continue with Remington. Keep moving through the Ruins and eventually you'll come to corridor with a Medkit to use. Depending on the path you took, you'll either fight Ursula or Ryder.

If you fight Ursula, once you've defeated her, she'll fall off the platform and escape. If you fight Ryder, it ends with him being tied up by Remington.

Then continue on, and you'll come to a room with Arlo and Sam inside. The Rogue Knight will be in there too, and he's standing on the All Source. After a cutscene, you'll be teleported to Peach Plaza in Portia. This completes this mission and initiates the final mission you need to complete for the story achievement.

The Final Battle

Mission Details

  • Go to the Central Plaza
  • Defeat All Source
  • Defeat the Rogue Knight

Time Limit

  • None

Rewards

  • 15000 Exp
  • 10000 Gold

You'll start off with seeing all of the Portia citizen fighting the invading Watchmen. Your task is to get to the Central Plaza, where the Rogue Knight is standing on top of the All Source. When you get there, you'll be asked if you want to start the final battle.

If you need some health/stamina top ups, you can run back and collect things if you wish. Personally, I just went to Martha's Bakery and bought everything. The Mushroom Crepe with Fruit Sauce was especially helpful. It restores 60 HP and 10 Stamina.

Upon staring the battle, you'll start with a cutscene and then the fight will start. Both the Rogue Knight and the All Source are level 99. Just dodge any large attacks, and keep attacking the legs. You don't be fighting this alone, so use the NPCs to your advantage.

You'll have a cutscene when the All Source reaches 70% HP. The battle will then continue with the All Source regaining some health, but it will now be level 60. When you defeat the All Source, you'll have another cutscene, and then it's time to fight the Rogue Knight.

When the Rogue Knight gets to 20% HP, you'll get another cutscene, which ends with the day ending and you unlocking the final story related achievement.

There are more main missions after this one, but there's no achievements tied to them, so you really don't need to do them. So if you have nothing outstanding, congratulations on completing the game, otherwise time to mop up!

Missions Outside of the Main Story Timeline

Balloon Bonanza

This triggers upon completing South Block Development. This mission is worth doing, as it counts towards the 50 Blueprints.

    Craft this on the Worktable
  • 3 x Rope
  • 1 x Colossal Balloon
Craft this on the Worktable from 8 x Fiber Cloth, 4 x Pigments and 4 x Hard Aluminum. If you need Pigments, just purchase them from the Clothing Shop.

Hot Springs Retreat

Again, another mission worth completing for the Blueprints, and for the reward of a Chainsaw. If you have the Chainsaw and the Mini-Drill, you can sell your Pickaxe and Axe and use these instead. It's also worth getting Acupuncture from Phyllis so you can respec your skills to get the Expert Electrician skill full upgraded.

This mission will trigger when you have access to the Western Plateau.

You'll then have to wait until the next day, when Albert will send you the commission in the mail. You'll start with needing to talk to Petra and handing over 5 Data Discs. Do so, and the next day, she'll send you the blueprints for the Auto Pump and Boiler Tank. you need to assemble and install one of each.

Once you've installed them, go and speak to Gale to complete the mission. The following day Gale will send a letter inviting you to attend the opening of the Springs.

Carol's Sewing Machine

This mission will appear at a random time. It personally appeared for me after I had completed the South Block Development, as you need an Electric Furnace, and access to the Desert Abandoned Ruins to complete this. It's worth doing to add a Blueprint to meet the 50 Blueprints requirement.

Mission Details

  • Ask Petra
  • Hand over 5 Data Discs
  • Wiat for diagram
  • Assemble an Industrial Sewing Machine

Time Limit

  • None

Rewards

  • 1500 Exp
  • 4000 Gols
  • 100 Workshop Reputation.

Carol will send you a letter in the mail, asking you to go and speak to her. Do so, and she'll ask you to help fix her sewing machine. Accept the mission, and then head over to Petra. Hand over 5 Data Discs to her. The next day, Petra will send you the Blueprint for the Industrial Sewing Machine and the Sewing Head item that needs to go into it.

To craft the Industrial Sewing Machine, you'll need:

  • 7 x Steel Plate
  • 2 x Bearing
  • 1 x Sewing Head
  • 4 x Hard Aluminum
  • 2 x rubber Belt
  • 1 x Advanced Engine

Once you've crafted it, take it to Carol to complete the mission.

After this mission, you'll see a scaled down sewing machine outside of her shop. If you have Flexible Fabric, you'll be able to use it with the sewing machine to respec your clothing. So say you like a certain outfit you have on, you could respec it, for a price, to have better stats. Any clothing that is being respeced takes a day to complete, and you'll need to collect it from the sewing machine.
