Nightmare Dungeons are great for XP, and needed to level Glyphs. But some are better, and we find out which ones are in this Diablo 4 Nightmare Dungeon Tier List.

Diablo 4 Nightmare Dungeon Tier List

Be aware that this Nightmare Dungeon Tier list primarily looks at the dungeons in and of themselves. This means we are taking into account the size and scope of the dungeon, followed by objectives. This means that some dungeons will be easier and quicker to complete than others, making them better for Glyph farmers. Meanwhile, mobs with lots of enemies and elites will be better for general XP gains.

It doesn’t take into account the time to clear these dungeons based on builds, as some build, like a Bone Spear Necro have no movement speed, outside of boot modifiers, while some builds like a WereBear Druid, Twisting Blades Rogue, and Hammer of the Ancients or Whirlwind Barb have better movement speeds.

In addition, your experience of the Nightmare dungeon Tier List may be different, depending on the affixes and types of enemies you encounter. If your build does not have anything to prevent CC, then certain affixes or mob types may affect your speed. Meanwhile, Ranged builds also have some issues with the Suppressor affix, which can make certain types of dungeons harder. We have factored in the affix types into this tier list, so, if you’re more casual, then you have these to factor in to get a better sense of which dungeon, and more importantly, which affixes are to make running a particular one more enticing than another.

So, to know what dungeons you want to run, you will want to ideally combine the XP, Glyph, and affix-themed tier lists, and then come up with an approximation on how worth it is for you personally to visit the dungeon. For example, if you get a Blind Burrows dungeon, which is one of the best for XP and Glyphs, but you’re a ranged build fighting against Suppressor and Resource burn? Maybe you will think twice about its rewards if it is going to be that annoying to play into.

Nightmare Dungeon XP Tier List

The Nightmare Dungeon Tier List looks at both solo and group farms, so you can get an idea of which dungeons offer the greater experience regardless of solo or group play. These XP numbers are also based on Raxxanterax numbers, so credit is due where credit is due.

For pure XP farming, you only really want to run dungeons that are A tier or higher to guarantee efficiency at either single or group content farm. B Tier dungeons are fine to run, especially if the affixes are good for you or the party.

Nightmare Dungeon Glyph Leveling Tier List

For Glyph leveling, we are largely looking at how easy and efficient it is to complete the dungeon. This looks at objectives, size of the dungeon, ease to path, and how much extra you can skip before needing to get to the final objective. Group clear speeds also are a factor in this ranking too, but not much.

  • God tier - Really good dungeon to complete Glyphs, along with added benefits of great XP gain.
  • S Tier - Really good dungeons for both Glyph and XP
  • A Tier - Above average for Glyph XP
  • B Tier - Average
  • C Tier - Below average, typically because they are very long dungeons
  • D Tier - Unlucky

This section isn’t looking at the beneficial affixes you get from Nightmare sigils, but, the negative ones. The beneficial ones are nice if you get a good one, but, your build is what will determine if you can actually enter that dungeon or not. Instead, we are looking at the negative affixes as these will have the most impact on how much harder, longer, or tedious a dungeon will become, regardless of how good it is normally.

Remember to take a look at each affix below, and see how it personally impacts your build. Some affixes will be much easier to manage for some builds and classes than others. For example, slow classes will likely hate things you need to dodge. Meanwhile, builds that use Barrier, or a Temerity may hate the Barrier Breaker affix. Ranged classes will no doubt hate Suppressor. Make sure to adapt the affixes on a sigil to your build and and weaknesses.

This concludes the Diablo 4 Nightmare Dungeon Tier List. Hopefully, you have an idea of what dungeons you want to get, largely thanks to the God Tier and S Tier for each dungeon tier list, and then also know when a certain type of sigil is better or made worse by the various affixes that come with it. May this help you get a better idea of which of the dungeons you want to run, and which dungeons you can salvage to try your luck to craft into a better dungeon if you have the spare resource.
